Human Rights

Although Mauerpark Institute is not a conventional human rights organisation, we strive to use a human rights-based approach in our work. This means that our activities and programmes are deliberately guided by human rights principles in all phases of the programming process, including assessment and analysis, programme planning and design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Currently our work especially emphasises labour rights, the right to a clean environment and sexual and reproductive rights. Another are of interest are rights of victims of crimes against humanity, genocide and war crimes. We seek to collaborate with like-minded organisations and individuals in both the Global South and North to ensure equal rights for all. Our work will include research, publication, lobbying and advocacy and projects with affected communities at the grassroots level.
